AI has come a long way and it seems we will be seeing more and more of it as years go on. One thing that I am interested in learning more about is how AI will be integrated more into cyber security on a local/personal level as well as a national level.

We already see it being used for threat detection, anomaly detection, and automated response systems. But what else is it being used for?

If you work for an IT company, has your place implemented it yet for cyber security purposes?

Phishing detection is something I think is amazing and super useful for companies as well as private use. I know too many people )and companies) that have gotten into a mess of trouble because one employee opened the wrong e-mail. People can be careless with this!

Anomaly detection is up there. AI can scan and read through as well as recognize patterns much faster and easier than a team of people can. This offers the benefit of being able to pinpoint deviations from normal patterns and find flaws and security threats.

@boldstix This 100%. I know this will end up being an amazing tool when it comes to managing massive systems that you do not want having any shred of vulnerability.

Using AI to monitor patterns on a day to day basis is a good way to check for not only vulnerabilities but possible points of entry from hackers. I think moving forward we will see a massive adaptation into security with AI.

@dannyglover24 I agree this as I am already seeing it at my place of work. It is a tool that will be a massive advantage for cyber security but we just have to be mindful that it isn't replacing jobs.

I feel like the predictive analysis will likely be one of the most useful int he future. Being able to detect a threat before it even happens will save time, money and hours of repair by people. AI will only improve too.
