As internet security expands, I am sure more and more jobs become available. I think this is a good area for younger people to focus on when getting training, certification, and degrees as we expand in the tech sector.

What are some security jobs that you know of that people can get a degree or certification for?

There are so many out there that I would have a hard time listing them all. Off the top of my head, here are the ones that I know of:

  • Security Analyst
  • System Security Specialist
  • Vulnerability Analyst
  • Risk & Cyber Security Manager
  • Security Engineer
  • Information Security Analyst
  • IT Auditor

Risk assessment jobs are growing so I think anyone is wise to get into that field. They pay VERY well and most companies are in need of them. Well, any company that runs online in any capacity should have a team of people dedicated to preventing security threats and hacks.

@johnnywiz This is something I was not aware of. Like there being different tiers for specific security jobs. I thought it was just for basic IT support. Some of these titles I have never even heard of.
