A number of people are voicing their concerns with Fluent Bit right now. For those that know, it is basically a logging service but by default is always on in the programs that use it. There is a major bug can allows DoS, RCE, and data leaks. It can be a key focus point for hackers. This bug is in versions versions 2.0.7 through 3.0.3 and has since had a patch on the 15h. If you make use of this, be sure to update it!
This is one of the reasons I keep trying to push people to their own private cloud servers. There is no reason to put private or important data in the hands of other companies, especially not ones that make such massive mistakes. iCloud just had another massive breach that restored a bunch of supposedly delete pictures and videos. Not good!
That can be pretty scary. I am always worried about stuff like this. Since I learned more about cyber security I have really just been looking into options to better improve and protect my data. I think everyone should, even with cloud storage.
@flipper81 Especially for cloud storage! I don't know why people blindly trust massive corporations. Smaller ones are better, private ones are by far the best option but I understand not everyone knows how to set them up.
