Are there any options to stop cell service providers from knowing everything about me?
They have a scary amount of data from text message and call records, cell tower pings, GPS records. Besides just not paying for cell service, what options are there?

MVNOs are much stricter with what data they collect as well as more transparent. A lot of people opt for them over standard carriers for this reason but also because they are more affordable. VPNs can help keep some data safe too but not much can be blocked from carriers this route.

As mentioned, smaller companies offer better options. Avoid the big ones like Verizon if you want to prioritize data privacy and opt for companies like Mint Mobile.
