I have heard different things about the topic. Some people say you always need to use it and you would be crazy to have a computer or phone without it - While others insist that it is basically useless for phones and only people with basic understanding of the Internet actually need it. Do you think it is necessary?
The people that should never, ever, EVER be without it are people that are computer security illiterate. People that do not know how to spot spam and fishing e-mails, people that click on malicious links or those that fall for ad scams. I would say 90% of people over the age of 45 should be using it and 80% of people under the age of 25 should be using it. Most people in the middle have a general understanding of risks. It is not really necessary on phones but it depends on what you do with your phone.
@flipper81 That many people? I figured people into their 50s knew enough. I thin gen x and millennials seem to be the most literate when it comes to cyber security but not enough of them take it seriously. What would you recommend in terms of phones for people that do need the added security?
