When it comes to two-factor authentication, which would you say is the best form? Do you have a preference?

I am trying to make sure I am more secure with not only data but my logins. I know there are several options these days like app, text, e-mail, and security key. Some people use multiple ones, others just use one.

I do a bit of everything. I will use two or even three security measures for access to certain accounts. I think it is worth going through the hassle to set this stuff up cause it offers an added layer of security. It won't prevent 100% of vulnerabilities but it will make it so only expert level hackers are able to gain access to your information and not many of them will be targeting every day people. They go where big money is.

I am not sure what would be considered the best. I think using more than one is ideal for things like personal banking and other high-risk logins. That being said, I mostly use apps that generate codes. As of right now, I am using Authy for this.

@eekopenly I recently got Authy after someone at work recommended it and I am enjoying it. I have had zero issues. I have it set up for the things you mentioned as well.

I just use the app for this. I mean for me, it is the most convenient. I just generate codes for everything and unlock them. I also have a desktop app so I don't need to use my phone if I am at my desk.
