Hi everyone. I am going to be looking into joining a school later this year to work on getting some degrees and hopefully better my odds of landing a good job. I have always been interested in cyber security but especially things like digital forensics. I will be going for a degree in cyber security but what other classes/degrees should I aim for to have a well-rounded education to get a job in this field?
As far as I know - computer science, cybersecurity, and criminal justice are all good complimentary degrees. Although if you are getting a degree already in forensics, they are not always necessary. It depends on what you want to do // who you want to work for.
@blacksaturn This about sums up what I was going to say. You don't "need" extra degrees but depending on where you want to work and for who, it can help you get a job and possibly higher salary.
Thanks, I will look into these. I am just wondering now if AI might change the outlook for this by the time I graduate. Maybe I should look into AI areas of learning as well to be ahead?
